Karipap oh Karipap :)

Yesterday 21st June, 2009 ,

I suddenly have this urge mengidam makan karipap...the ones that my mum always make is yummy and daging die selalu bnyk ok?? my mum is seriously not a cheaps cake in terms of food.. so when I want something lagi2 makanan I have to get it.. kalau tak makan tak kenyang, mandi tak basah, tido pun tak lena. so obviously kalau ade genie in the bottle pun, tak mampu jin tue nak terbang balik malaysia nk amikkan karipap .. so mintak mama resipi aje la..

heheh.. the recipe looks simple..

semua bahan ader except for daging.. so off me and najwa went to cowley.. we walked ok?? now dah tak complain dah.. hhehehehe.. hopefully shed some kilos of me.. heheheh..

we went to tesco to buy grocery first then to tahmid (tempat membeli daging, ayam dan ikan)...

after everything, we went backkk!!! it was raining and i was drenched from head to toe :(..the umbrella najwa had was too small for the both of us.. and the rain here not like in malaysia.. it follows the direction of the wind.. kadang2 dr depan, kiri dan kanan.. lol

i passed all my grocery to najwa and walked home to take some stuff..

so around 9, i walked back to the bateman's... and i start by rebusing the daging.. najwa helped me chop the potatoes and i dice the onions..

then,

dah siap..tapi nak tunggu the kuah kering took me whole 30 mins.. so my hand dah mulaala nak edit, so what i did i letak chicken stock la.. garam la..

and i tasted it..

oh boy... ader kapal garam karam in my inti...

tapi since i dont know what else to do.. pakai aje..

the pastry: we used instant.. but it keep onnn merekah..

so i google the recipe and make one myself.. hahahah.. theres flour on my forehead.. pants.. everywhere ok??? hehehe.. the pastry i made is much better than the instant one..

at 1 am.....

ive finished making karipap and seriously sick of it.. dpt 23 ketul aje!!!!!. no more karipap for now.. hahahahha

is the date where zhariff will be leaving us..

he's one of my closest friends in oxford.. he always listens and never judge...

he always and always teman me to do my grocery shopping, and always carries the heaviest bag..

he is one of my partner in the kitchen.. whenever i or he cook we always help each other. potong bawang ke?? cili ke??

that very day,

miss sleeping beauty woke up late again ( i know, its contagious!!!) actually that morning he tried to wake me up to teman him to do last min shopping but after all the marilyn monroe drama.. I was not feeling well.. and took panadols the night before.. so obviously waking up in the morning is the last thing that i want to do..

so i woke up quite late.. after i took my shower i lied down in bed.. still having headache from the rain from yesterday.. me and zarep were suppose to dismantle my table.. but he did it all by himself.. kesian die.. soooo i had brunch and waited for him to come back.. as soon as he came back which was around 5 and his bus to stansted was around 6.30.. he rushed to pack his stuff.. to my horror.. he hasnt quite finish packing.. i offered help but i think he was too serabut so i sat aside and watch.. i call taufiq to ask a favour whether he can send all ofus by car.. easier.. he said yes..

so off we went...

it was soooo colddddddddddd.. we waited till 6.30 but there were still no sign of the bus..

and wait...

roughly before 7.00pm faz need to excuse herself.. since she has her mother and sister at home.. so off she went...

around 7.30pm tayar bus pun we tak nampak.. i had dance class that day and zhariff keep on telling me to go home.. but he send my sister off to the airport last time so i insist to stay..

at 8.00 pm wiper bus pun tak nampak..lol and bob told us he wanted to go home.. and by that time it was getting colder by the minute..

i was getting cranky myself but tried to hold myself together..

8.15 we saw the bus.. i was jumping up and down excited..

alhamdulillah he was not late.. and me and taufiq were the last one standing.. hahahahaa

we are the three musketeers!!! excuse my baru bangun face okies??

Ive made promise to zharif to accompany him to buy his mother's handbag (it shows he trust my taste)... Its been weeks since he asked me to go with him.. but i will always have something to do.. kesian pulak my housemate sorang nie..
so I told him the night before we would go to Bicester Village (high end shopping outlet) the very next day..

and around 11 am..

he knock on my door.. and hes the type would never ever try and masuk whenever im asleep.. so he was banging on my door none stop.. and seperti biase sleeping beauty was still asleep.. tido mati gamaknye..:)..

an hour later,

i woke up and called zhariff ( even if he lives a room under my room, i prefer to call him rather than let him see my muke baru bangun tido yang sungguh hodoh ini).. luckily hes not the type yang membebel.. i told him that we will be goin in an hour.. he agreed.. fuhhh~~. so after that terus masuk toilet and mandi..

on the way to the bus stop,

zharif told me that bob will be tagging along.. so fine la kan.. i told him i want to take pictures infront of the bodlein library since my blog photo was me infront of it.. and zharif is the only one who knows how to take good pictures.. so he told me we will be going there first.. so as we reached town, we walked there.. and konon2 nak tangkap gambar front page magazine la.. I was wearing skirt not knowing that it was windddy sooo windy.. menyesal ok?? but as i was posing ala2 britney.. zharif told me that he forgets to put back the memory card in the camera.. shish!!! so we used my camera which only has 10 mins left.. lol..

Ive never seen zharef sooo fickle minded.. theres so many handbag that I had to so called 'peragakan' for him.. yang nie colour tak cantik la?? besar sangat la?? tak bnyk compartment la?? like helllo... luckily i sayang him as a brother or else jangan harap nak layan kerenah die.. lastly we stop by at bally and oh god.. love at first sight.. and theres additional 60% off.. so the bag was only 218 pounds.. hahah.. i was holding it for a long time, sbb nak jugak for my beloved mama.. as if i have the money???.. so after we bought that, zhariff told me that he wants to buy his mother a comfortable slipper.. you know those hush puppies type that mak2 will wear?? so i was trying shoes after shoes.. ader yang kodi ader yang cantik.. but all of clarks shoes are very comfortable.. so afterlong consideration.. he bought one.. which is a good buy!!! dirt cheap!!!

after that,

he teman me to ralph lauren and i went to try clothes after clothes.. it was sooo cantekk ok?? its just that ive promised myself not to spend a dime and it was only to help zharif... sooo i put everything back with a heavy hard.. and we went back to town...

there i told zharif to treat me a last meal before he went back.. he said ok?? so we went to this at thai restaurant.. it was so so.. we had tomyam, chicken cashew nuts and fish... i think me and zarep can definitely cook better.. haih~~

as we reached home, i realised i didnt spend a dime.. everyhing zharif bayar.. hahahahah.. thank you!!!! next time nak teman lagi la... :P

Osney Lock, Krispy Kreme and English Dinner :)

16th of June,

Najwa gave me 8 miscals asking me to wake up.. and seriously its getting harder for me to wake up in the morning nowadays since theres nothing else to do.. Im turning into those nangka busok.. seriously :(.. Last2 i woke up with the sound of azan from my laptop... it was freaking 1pm and im still in bed.. nie kalau dkt malaysia dah lame my mum panggang i.. lol!!!! I called her back, she said she wants to go and walk to town.. its going to take around 45 mins to reach town by foot.. and as always i would decline.. dah almost a year and a half im here but still i wouldnt want to walk to town.. never ever ok?? habis dah pakai make up seinci.. nak jalan ke town.. no thank you!!!!! but somehow on that particular day, I said yes.. so we agreed on meeting up another hour.. and shes very precise.. as for me if i say ill see you another hour.. it would definitely means an hour times two.. hahahahha...

so i took my shower and shampooed my hair (dah nak jalan all sweaty, sometimes i can be such a dungu you know??) .. the time najwa called me.. I was ady out from the shower.. but little does she knows that it will take me 45 mins just to dry my hair.. yesss!!!! even the shampoo girl complains sometimes.. nak buat macam mane.. its in my genes.. so i asked her to come over.. I guess she was upset sbb have to wait for me and seriously I was ady cranky since I hated it when ppl rush me.. I get really annoyed.. sooo I kept myself calm and go and get ready.. by the time I was ready with my sunblock on, with my bangles la, with my owl necklace, I realised I havent prayed yet.. so terpakse la I took everything off and pray.. I think by that time I was ady at the urge to say I dont want to go.. but she waited dah kan?? it would be rude.. so after semayang, I went straight dont.. without make up ok???

at the end, we decided not to walk since its ady 4 o'clock and if we do by the time we reach there everything will be close.. so we took the bus.. we went to few shops and she teman me to window shop so called buah tangan to loved ones back in malaysia..I had fun in the boswell which reminds me so much whenever I teman mama to metrojaya where she spend hours just to look for her kitchen stuff.. hahahah after that we went and tapau branos and went straight to krispy kreme.. sazlin was working there so we ordered 2 mango ice blended and 2 doughnuts.. and she gave us free hahahahah.. we ate there ok?? like najwa said.. its her dad's company.. so we are allowed to eat there kononlaaa.. lol...

no make up ok??? sheesh..luckily i was wearing my burung hantu necklace.. like that can cover my pimple...

later after the makan2,

najwa wants to bring me to osney lock.. but on that very particular day i didnt brought my jacket with me.. and it was getting windy.. so i told her next time we'll go ok?? she said ok.. but she kept on going to a direction where im not familiar with.. so i pun ikut je.. half way through, I realised that we're going to osney lock.. all of my friends know me that well.. I guess if die ckp then ill be complaining the whole way.. so shes smart.. hahaha.. by the time we were there.. my foot starts to hurt.. yela kalau pusing klcc 10 round pun i wont complain but this.. we were walking somewhere near a a hutan look alike.. I kept on taking photos so I dont really think about my foot.. as we reached there, I saw boats.. so cantik ok?? Let the picture speak for it self okies??

me and najwa went home.. we found two boxes and we took it.. I seriously need to start packing.. I cooked chicken pie and chicken chasseur for dinner as Hakim will be coming for dinner...

it was tiring ok?/ I was trying to rush everything, luckily najwa helped me to do the pastry...I hate it bile tetamu dah sampai baru nak tersengguk masukkan chicken dlm oven semua.. learn it from experience ye!??! hehehhe.. so yes, we had that and instance mash potatoes.. overall it was yummy!!! yes im the type who would masuk bakul and angkat sendiri... hahaha..

Ive been asking everyone to go with me to britney spear's concert.. eventho she mime and doesnt sing live she is one of my favourite singer and a great entertainer.. if nak tunggu die perform in malaysia mmg tak la... with her oh so revealing clothes I doubt so... Initial plan was for me to go with faz.. but faz told me that it wouldnt be save for the two of us just to go by ourselves and she said she will go if theres a guy,betul jugak.. safety comes first.. so i dok pujuk taufiq, zarep and hakim.. none of them wants to go.. we were supposed to go either 10th or 11th of July.. but since no one wants to teman me and faz.. we decided not to goo.. I was a lil bit upset tapi nak buat macam mane kan...


on the 10th July, hakim called and told me that britney's VIP concert ticket was sold at 2 pounds each (the original price was 100pounds ye).. he said we should go.. but that time , I already expecting maklong to come to oxford.. Ive promised to meet up with her, takkan i nak terus pegi concert... there was another show the very next day.. but hakim pulak tak free.. takkan I nak pegi all by myself kan???


so after accepting the fact that I wont be going to he concert.. on friday night, hakim called.. he said we should try and go for the saturday show.. that would be her last concert in London.. dahla we havent bought the tickets.. he wants us to gamble..hmmmm.. I was sceptical at first. ye la.. if dah travel jauh2.. tak dpt tgk confirm lagi frust kan?? hahahha.. but eventually I agreed.. so the night before kononla nak bonding with najwa and faz.. I slept at their place.. we watched harry potter and white chicks.. ingatkan najwa can wake me up since I am not a morning person.. tapiii I woke up at 12 noon ok.. trus lari balik rumah and mandi.. Hakim is very punctual.. so he kept calling every 10mins or soo.. I hated it when ppl asked me to hurry up (padahal salah sendiri tapi nak emo).. heheheh..

after all the chaos of me getting ready, we took the bus.. I was seriously tired.. gara2 tgk movie with the girls.. I took a nap while Hakim happily yapping away about everything and anything..


we arrived in victoria, and took the underground train to east india.. I HATE LONDON during weekends.. if you walk, janganla tetibe nak berhenti angkat telefon ke??? nak window shopping ke?? you will get pushed ok and we asian are seriously small compared to them..!?!? I was holding on to Hakim's louis vuitton bag in the train since it was soooo full.. shish... we then arrive at east india and we took a boat to O2 stadium.. that was my first time.. I dont know that the stadium was located on an island.. cantik ok??? (yes me being jakun again)..

I was expecting big banners ke whatever la kan?? but as we reached there.. there was nothing.. no advertisement or watsoever that britney is goin to perform.. no wonder la they have to reduce the price.. the marketing wasss soooo bad (mentang2 student marketing :P).. I keep on thinking did we missed the whole concert ke?? or are we at the right place ke?? sbb the whole place is quiet and not much ppl.. tapi as we walked in the building.. we nampak la abit of britney poster here and there.. but not as much as i expected.. hehhe.. we went to the ticket booth.. and guess whatttttt??? we got the ticket.. hahahahahahahaha.. and the best part was, our seat is right infront of the stage...

they told us that the concert starts at 7.30 and that time it was roughly 5 something.. and hakim said he was hungry.. so we walked around to find a decent place to makan.. from the outside, I thought there was less ppl.. but as soon as you walked in.. manusia macam semut api ok?? bnyk.. the restaurant all were full and they were ppl still queueing up... so we walked and found a place called HAHA.. tak ramai.. since its at he ceruk of the building and not many ppl walk there.. I had risotto and hakim had the salmon.. hmm okla.. I told hakim to eat slowly to kill time :).. but he cleaned both mine and his plate in minutes ok.. serious gile!!!! hahahah.. we then walked for abit and decided to go in to the o2 arena.. as we walked in.. the stage was beautiful ok?? however, I get bored easily menunggu primadona to come out... I took out my ipod and hakim read his book.. hahah.. we look like some kind of a dysfunctional couple (ma, this is soo not my boyfriend, maklumat selanjut pls ask along ok?)..we waited for almost an hour rasenye.. till suddenly the light went off.. and oh boy.. hakim was screaming tak ingat dunie.. it was ciara.. and i wasnt even expecting her.. her body is soo perfect ok??? best sangat.. after that, the big apple circus performed..

Friday -12th June 2009..

I was invited to go and have lunch at oxford's uni by hakim.. There were 4 of us me, taufiq, najwa and faz... we went there around 12 something.. we had to walk a lil bit from the town to his uni.. and obviously i was complaining.. I kept on muttering "jauh lagi ke??".. nasib baik all of them are very much used to me.. kalau tak confirm kene tinggal.. boo hoo...

as soon as we reached there.. I was like "ah.. oh... wahhhh". kejakunan yang amatlah terserlah. the place was like an historical place.. we quickly went inside. All of us had fish and chips.. and its 20 pounds something for the 5 of us.. which is very cheap considering the fish is soooo freshh and huge.. hahahahah.. the place is something like harry potter's dining hall... so cantik ok?? i only took 2 photos as I was surrounded by oxford uni student, dont want to look like an outsider kan?? hahahah..

after our oh so sedap lunch, hakim told us that the museum is open now and we can go for a visit.. and obviously i tried to keep my compose.. I hate museum.. I get sooo sleeepy and cranky ok.. but this museum is an exception.. it was dark since They had to turn off the light because they need to preserve the artifacts and bla bla blaaaa... so we had to use a torch.. I was so amazed on how they have mummys.. real mummys ok?!?!?! and jenglot!!!!! theres time when i had goosebumpsss.. scary dowhh!!!! hahaha.. oh and apparently hakim told us that this museum (seriously i forget the name, yes i know.. im a dory sometimes) is the only museum who has dodo the bird which is still intact with bulu and semua.. cool kan!!! hahahahaa...

then, hakim needs to go to his lab.. so we sort of teman him there.. but not allowed to go in the building.. so me and faz bought hot chocolate.. and we sat outside.. hmmm life a bliss.. dont you think???
